Choose a protocol
A structured pathway for the presentation in front of you.
The evidence exists — in a lecture folder, a £45 textbook and a PDF saved somewhere sensible. None of them are open on a Tuesday evening when you're planning tomorrow's sessions.
Evidence-based protocols
University knowledge fades; protocols keep it at hand. A CBT Flow protocol is a structured pathway for a presentation — its phases, its tools, its recommended measures — distilled from research with genuine scientific consensus, ready to drop into a treatment plan whole or in part.
Why it helps
Phases, tools and recommended measures for a presentation — with your clinical judgement always in charge of what actually happens.
Focused case: apply the pathway and adjust. Multi-layered case: take the parts you need, or use protocols as inspiration and write your own.
Every protocol is written and maintained by a practising clinician and updated as the research moves — not scraped and forgotten.
Connected workflow
Apply a protocol and its parts arrive in your treatment plan with their resources and tools already attached — nothing to re-find, nothing to re-attach.
A structured pathway for the presentation in front of you.
Phases land in the treatment plan, resources and tools attached.
Assign each part's worksheets when the moment is right.
Recommended measures arrive as check-ins, scored for you.
Rūta, CBT Flow's co-founder, writes and maintains every protocol — currently while completing her CBT training at the University of Oxford, turning coursework into protocols so the knowledge stays put instead of fading with the exam. Protocols are updated as the research moves.
Three protocols are live now, with 10+ of the most common presentations planned over the coming months.
Your clinical judgement always leads: protocols inform, they don't decide, and responsibility for therapeutic outcomes stays with the treating clinician. Formulation often takes the first 2–3 sessions — it's normal to start with just a protocol's opening parts. Many therapists use protocols as inspiration and write the rest themselves.
